How Do You Know?

How do you know that you are saved? God will save you His way, not your way. Read Matthew 7:21-23.What that means is that there is only one way to be saved. It is not enough to believe in God with your mind, you have to believe it with your heart! That is completely Biblical! It says so in Romans 10:9:

That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

There is only one way to be saved, and is through believe in Jesus Christ and a changed life – pointing to a time in your life where there has been a complete life transformation. By saying a time in your life, I don’t mean a specific day and time, but just a general time period. The Bible does not say that we have to know a specific date or time. If you haven’t had a complete life change, if you went back to your old habits after “giving” your life to Christ, then I have news for you – you are not saved!

What Is Love?

I have had to take time off from writing for the past couple of weeks because of a heavy school and work load. I have a little more free time right now, so here are two new blogs that I have been working on. I am going to be writing less now though, until school is done, and I have more time to really concentrate on writing.

What is love? This has been the question on my mind recently. When I say the word “love,” in this context I don’t necessarily mean love between two people; I am more or less talking just in general about love.

I like to write and I write a lot whether it’s in this blog, another blog, or just in a journal. There are some instances when I write that I like Spanish more than English. When talking about love is one of those instances. Spanish has more than one word for love depending on what the situation is. English just has one word for love. It is the same word, whether you are saying, “I love these Doritos,” or if you are saying “I love you” after 42 years of marriage. Same word, however, I believe there are two meanings there…I may be the only one though, so moving on…

The Progression of Sin & The Hope of God

“The world is redefining morality.”

How does sin progress? First, there is a thought, second – imagination, third – identification, fourth – a choice, fifth – consent.

What must you do with sin? You have to deal with it. If you don’t, satan gets a toe hold. That little hold becomes a strong hold. He now has control this certain area of your life, and that is dangerous!

There are no exceptions to the law of God! God does not have a Plan B!

I think, at least in my case, that I am lucky that God does not judge quickly. But you can be sure that he will judge in the end.

Real Worship

We must get back to the true heart of worship…not just some song, but to the real meaning of why we worship. Worship is not just in song – it is in your lifestyle, it is in your prayer, it is in the people you talk to…worship is not just some emotional feeling, it is the reason we were made!

Below is a video of Jeremy Riddle’s “Sweetly Broken.” It is an awesome song…yes I said awesome (if you know me, you know my limited use of that word).
